Denise Rosby

MS, LPC

Denise Rosby (She/Her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with an additional license as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor. She has a Masters Degree from University of Wisconsin Stout and an undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.

Denise specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relationship and family issues, anger, school and adolescent difficulties. She implements an eclectic style that meeting

the client where they are at and adjusting to the client’s style of change. She is comfortable in numerous therapeutic interventions and theories – including Active Listening, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, Family Therapy, Behavioral, Systems, DBT, CBT and IFS as well as other client appropriate theories. Denise has also implemented Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) for almost a decade and integrates Internal Family Systems into the experience.

 

Denise works with adolescents as well as adults. She has worked with teenagers in a residential behavioral center, has worked in the Wisconsin Prison System with men, and Substance Abuse Therapy

as well as years in the behavioral health system as a trauma specialist and generalist. Her focus is empowering clients to engage in collaborative problem – solving so they can own their own solution and

take pride in their ability to heal. She believes making the choice to choose oneself is the foundation for improving one’s life. Denise has considerable experience working with all ages, genders, and backgrounds, including members of LGBTQIA+ and BiPOC communities.

Denise believes clients know what is getting in their way and what changes they want to make. They have the internal strength to make change as they take that first step - engaging in therapy. Each client

has the tools they just need the support and confident to use those skills in ways that promote healing.  Denise invests in helping each client meet their own goals and find their best self.  Denise works with adolescents and adults ages 12-100. She engages in virtual appointments on

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00-8:00 and Saturday morning if needed.
