Nolan Billstrom

MFT-IT

Nolan Billstrom is a marriage and family therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families deepen connection, navigate relational challenges, and live with greater emotional clarity and capacity. Nolan believes that our relationships, whether with partners, family, friends, colleagues, or ourselves, are foundational to our overall health and well-being.

Grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment science, and systems theory, Nolan’s approach supports clients in exploring stuck patterns, strengthening emotional bonds, and creating new ways of relating that feel more secure and resilient. He brings a down-to-earth, curious, and compassionate presence to therapy, helping clients explore the emotional and relational patterns that shape their lives.

Nolan earned his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College. He completed his clinical training at The Family Center in Madison, where he worked with individuals, couples, and families. He has also facilitated their men’s therapy group and brings a depth of experience supporting men in showing up more fully in their lives and relationships.

In addition to his therapy work, Nolan draws from experiences as a certified health coach, yoga teacher, and special education assistant, which informs his body-aware, trauma-informed, and relational approach. With a background in athletics, he understands the value of perseverance, teamwork, and leaning into discomfort, qualities that mirror the emotional risk-taking required in our most intimate relationships. This perspective informs his commitment to helping clients approach relational challenges with courage to build the emotional flexibility needed for lasting change.
