Madelyn Esposito
LPC, CST, CST-S
Madelyn (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and one of a select few therapists in Wisconsin who holds both the AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) and Certified Sex Therapy Supervisor (CST-S) credentials. She specializes exclusively in sex therapy and couples therapy for adults and is passionate about helping individuals and couples strengthen emotional and physical intimacy, navigate relationship challenges, and create more fulfilling sexual lives.
Madelyn works with concerns including differences in sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, painful sex, orgasm difficulties, out-of-control sexual behaviors, infidelity, communication challenges, relationship distress, sexual shame, and the impact of medical conditions on intimacy. She believes that sexual wellbeing is deeply connected to emotional connection, overall health, and quality of life.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in research. Drawing primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), she helps clients recognize the patterns that keep them feeling stuck while integrating evidence-based sex therapy interventions tailored to each individual or couple. She strives to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to have the conversations they've often avoided for years.
In addition to her private practice, Madelyn founded and leads Wisconsin's only interdisciplinary sex therapy clinic within a medical system at UW Health. There, she collaborates with specialists across urology, gynecology, urogynecology, pelvic floor physical therapy, psychiatry, and other medical specialties to provide comprehensive, evidence-based sexual healthcare while also providing education and clinical consultation throughout the health system. She also directs the Sex Therapy Training Clinic and the Couples Therapy Training Clinic for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, supervising psychology interns and psychiatry residents while also providing AASECT supervision and consultation to licensed clinicians.
She is a frequent educator and presenter on sexual health and couples therapy. Her expertise has been featured in national media, including CNN, Men's Health, WebMD, VICE News, and SiriusXM Doctor Radio. She is passionate about expanding access to evidence-based sexual healthcare through clinical care, education, and professional mentorship.
Whether clients are navigating a specific sexual concern, working to rebuild trust after relationship challenges, or simply hoping to deepen emotional and physical connection, Madelyn is committed to creating a compassionate, affirming space where meaningful and lasting change can occur.
