Kris Neumaier
Clinical Counseling Intern
I believe that understanding yourself—and the ways your experiences and the world around you have shaped you—is an important first step toward meaningful change. As a counseling intern, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, better understand your emotions, and develop healthier ways of coping.
I work with adults, couples, adolescents, and veterans navigating a variety of concerns, including life transitions, anxiety, depression, and the effects of difficult or traumatic experiences. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, meaning I meet each individual where they are and work collaboratively to understand what feels most important to them.
My work is grounded in mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe counseling is not about having all the answers, but about creating space to develop greater self-awareness, build practical skills, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and manageable.
Whether you're facing a major transition, struggling with difficult emotions, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I hope to provide a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as you work toward change.
Kris is supervised by Christine Taylor MSW, LCSW. Christine is in a portion of each of his sessions.
