Rachel Martin
Counseling Intern
Rachel believes that healing emerges in and through relationships starting with oneself. Through careful listening, authentic connection, inquiry, and exploration, Rachel supports self-discovery helping you to claim your unique story and identity to empower change.

Rachel is not limited to but holds a special interest in working with those going through life’s transitions including kids, teens, and young adults. She strives to support clients as they work with challenges such as anxiety, depression, a sense of stuckness, loneliness, past trauma, and/or loss. Rachel's life experiences navigating the realities of parenting, partnership, career, aging, and what it is to live in this modern world, inform her work.

Rachel is working as an intern under the supervision of Paula Witt while completing her master's degree in counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Clinical Mental Health graduate program. In 2022, she completed 800 hours of training in Clinical Pastoral Education and works part-time at UnityPoint-Meriter hospital providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff. Rachel finds joy spending time with friends and family and wandering in the fields and woods.

As part of our internship program, there will be a licensed therapist who works alongside the therapist in training. The graduate intern has already had experience providing psychotherapy and the purpose of the internship is to truly allow them to grow within themselves as a therapist and gain additional competency in therapy skills. We have a licensed therapist that will be present for some or all of the sessions either in person or virtually.

Rachel will be available September 2025-May 2025.
